Sites that correspond to Standards.

I am interested in getting a site together of websites that corresponds to each standard…. so if I am working on standard 6N1, for example, what are all of the different sites teachers use that help with that standard?  So, does anyone have a list of links by standard?

  1. I wouldn’t think there would be sites out there for a particular standard. I would think you would need to know what you want your students to know, understand, and be able to do and then research activities (in additon to the core program) that relate to the standard. Hope this helps!

  2. I also had many parents at open house who said they try and help with homework by googling key words…. I would really like to give parents a site to go to instead of them wasting time trying to find a good one on their own…. I know I often spend a lot of time just trying to find a good site…

  3. Hi,

If you are looking for some ideas or additional data for your math standards, go to NCTM’s website. They do have info by standard and Mass standards are aligned very closely and build upon the NCTM standards. Also, a great source for info by standard is at a publisher’s website such as Prentice Hall or Glencoe or McDougall-Littel. Also, there are several good websites (virtual manipulatives, purple math) that can help. I used to have a website of all math resources when I was a math coordinator in another district. If you send me your e-mail address, I will download what I had and send it to you. Hope this is helpful.

  4. That is terrific, thanks! My work email is ecampbell@fallriverschools.org. We also have subscription to Math Online Intervention from Prentice Hall that I think few people (at least teachers!) know about… I have uploaded my students and they can log on at home and do homework! Thanks again.

  5. You’ll find a list of class and teacher resources listed on Durfee’s Keeley Library website. Just follow the link for Class Resources in the first column on the main page, then click on Student or Teacher Resources. The Science section already has resources listed by standard with relevent websites. Resources were submitted by classroom teachers and library staff. The address is http://www.sailsinc.org/Durfee or you can click on the Keeley Library link from the Durfee webpage. Take a look you might find just what you are looking for.
